What is Boldmail?
Boldmail gives an agent a real @boldmail.io address and a mailbox it can operate. It is built for receiving, sending, threading, and retaining actual conversations—not only delivering outbound messages.
How does an agent control its mailbox?
For agents, connect the hosted MCP with browser OAuth, then manage mailboxes, messages, threads, labels, attachments, and access through its tools. Use webhooks when your agent needs to react to incoming mail.
Which protocols can I use?
Use the hosted MCP with OAuth for agent tools such as Cursor, Claude, and Codex. HTTP API, IMAP, JMAP, and SMTP are also available for supported integrations.
Can I create mailboxes for multiple customers?
Yes. Organizations isolate one customer’s mail from another’s. Scoped API keys are reserved for advanced direct API clients that can store secrets securely.
How do webhooks work?
Point Boldmail at an endpoint and it sends signed payloads for inbound events, so your agent can act as new mail arrives.
Is there a free tier?
You can create an account and a mailbox without a card. Launch limits apply while Boldmail is in beta.

Connect Boldmail
to your agent.

OAuth is the recommended and normal MCP path. Add the hosted endpoint, complete the browser OAuth flow—sign in or create a Boldmail account, then approve consent—then use MCP.
